Our Treatment Studies

We are currently conducting two complicated grief treatment research studies:

  • The HEAL Study (Healing Emotions After Loss) is testing the effectiveness of a common antidepressant medication in treating complicated grief when taken either with or without talk therapy. This study is open to individuals who are 18 and older.
  • The Treating Complicated Grief in Suicide Survivors Study is investigating whether people who are suicide bereaved respond to treatment for complicated grief in a similar manner to those who have lost loved ones in other ways. This study is open to individuals who are 18 and older.
